In 2001, Suzanne completed her MFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art where she received a scholarship to attend the Mt. Royal School.

Upon graduation she received the highest juried prize for her thesis project which involved video installations and sewn drawings. Since graduating she has attended several artist in residency programs both abroad and in the U.S., as well as being awarded an artist grant from the Gottleib Foundation in 2004.

Other artist fellowships include  the Aljira Emerge program, Foundation and Center for Contemporary Art in Prague and most recently Artist in residence at The Rotunda Gallery/BCATResidency (Brooklyn Community Access Cable Television).

She currently lives and works in New York where she teaches art,environmental science and photography in public schools and community gardens while continuing her studio practice both at home and in documenting her travels.
