From the New York City, Philadelphia & Washington areas: take the best route to Scranton. There is a Superhighway from all Metro areas to Scranton. The following instructions are from Interstate 81, Exit 194 at Clarks Summit to Camp Ballibay. From Harrisburg area explore the idea of taking Rt.15 & 220 to Towanda, it cuts down the mileage to camp from the DC area.

Exit I-81 at No. 194, Clarks Summit, you will take the exit North & West marked 'Towanda, RT. 6-11.' You will come to Rt. 6-11 in the Village of Chinchilla; adhere to the 35 mph speed limit carefully.

In about 10 minutes Rt. 6 and Rt. 11 split, Rt. 6 turns off to the right, take Rt. 6 West. You'll pass through the towns Tunkhannock, Meshoppen, Laceyville and in about 30 minutes you'll pass through Wyalusing; be sure to obey the 35 mph speed limit. You'll see signs to Camptown, do not make any turns.

Stay on Rt. 6. In about 5 miles, you'll pass Rt. 409 on your right. Stay on Rt. 6; you will make a right turn off Rt. 6 after going down a winding hill, 1.7 miles, after passing Rt. 409 on your right. The turn off Rt. 6 is marked Creek Road.

Immediately after you turn off Rt. 6 on Creek Rd., bear to the right, onto Stethers Rd. (a dirt road). We are 1.7 miles up this hill on Stethers Rd. You will come upon the Main House & Office of the camp on your right. Pass the Office and the next building on your right, and make a right turn into the gravel lot. Please park there and come to the Camp Office which is on the road side of the Main House. If you are coming on an opening day, visiting day, or the end of camp, staff will be at the roadside to assist you.
